Within the quiet streets of the Empyreum resides a quaint venue for creatives to gather.

Once upon a time, this building belonged to a troubled Ishgardian aristocrat who had a passion for painting. An idealist, this man saw the war between man and dragon for what it was - senseless conflict. Ousted by the church for his views and branded a heretic, he was forced to flee the city he was raised in after a collection of paintings depicting a peaceful world where man and wyrm alike coexisted in harmony was discovered by the temple knights. Most of his paintings were burned and discarded, but few remained hidden in a secret crawlspace only he knew how to access.A few centuries later, the warrior of light aided by the scions of the seventh dawn brought an end to the Dragonsong war. Ishgard, being forced to confront the truth about the conflict and their own bloody history, set forth in restoring bits of the city ruined by the war. While helping with the recovery effort, Estinien and Alphinaud stumbled upon this building, long abandoned by a dreaming artist, and found the lost art belonging to him. With the help of two artistically inclined adventurers they knew, the quartet decided to give back to the wider artist community by creating a space where everyone can find freedom through creativity.

Alphinaud

Having a passion for art and culture goes hand in hand with his passion for politics. While helping out with the restoration of Ishgard, he and Estinien stumbled upon this old building and found lost art from a now begone era. With the help of a few adventurers with more time than he had, they transformed this place into a studio that he visits frequently when not busy with other matters.

Estinien

Although he has a very high disdain for social gatherings in Ishgard and keeping up appearances, Estinien reluctantly agreed to aid in setting up the studio, if only for Alphinaud. He can be seen around at times (if he wants to be seen that is).

Sungyve Clay

Co-owner and patron of the arts. An adventurer who has very powerful friends. A chatty Miqo'te, she spends as much time as she can in the venue - running events, serving drinks, or simply making sure everyone is having a good time.

Y'seto Tia

This Allagan soul doesn't have much time on his hands but after a few convincing words from Sungyve he seemed to have invested too much gil in the place to turn back. He's a bit prickly at first and his sass is enough to turn any head, but once you get to know him he's happy to serve with good will. Don't ask him about his coin purse.

Saint Adeline

Full-time archivist for the Scholasticate, part-time cafe attendant. Despite his sharp tongue and short temper, he has a soft spot for artists and musicians- he's particularly fond of the opera, even though he himself can't sing.("Saint Adeline" is definitely not his real name, but judging by the irritable look on his face, you're probably better off not asking.)

Fleur Lemille

Part time trouble maker, and full time Warrior of Light, this hero spends his few silent moments illustrating botanical life. Masterful in other artistic areas as well, he strives to inspire others across the star. Feeling stuck or looking for a fresh point of view on a piece? He's your hero!

The Nightingale's Song

The Nightingale's Song café is a rustic ishgardian café that is nestled within the Firmament. This establishment offer a welcoming atmosphere, welcoming both local and visitors of the Holy See a place where to find something good to eat and a warm or cold drink. Having a vast selection of tea, both local and imported from the far east, there is a fine selection of pastries and light food that a guest can choose from. The friendly staff more then happy to assist any guest and even happy to converse with said guest. As any polite guest is welcomed to this peaceful establishment.

Hallowed Grounds

Hallowed Grounds is an ishgardian coffee house with relaxing atmosphere and music. It features ground floor cosy seating and a beautiful underground Mheg-vibe garden cafe.
You are welcome to come for a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and stay for as long as you like, with friends or on your own. Relax with us, read a book while sipping your favourite comfort drink and don't forget to pet the cafe cat!
